Lefty Ricky Wright pitched in parts of five MLB seasons between 1982 and 1986, but today he is more renowned as one of the toughest autographs of the 1980s. A difficult signer during his playing days, today Wright is virtually impossible to obtain as he has for decades refused to sign cards through the mail to the consternation of many an autographed card collector. Offered are three early career examples of his rare signature: a 1982 TCMA Albuquerque Dukes card signed in blue ink, graded Authentic by SGC; a 1985 TCMA Oklahoma City 89’ers card signed in blue ink, graded Authentic by PSA; and a 1982 era index card signed in blue ink, graded Authentic by PSA/DNA.
