From one of the key contributors to the Yankees’ fabled five consecutive pennants from 1949-53 comes a striking pair of game-worn cleats, plus Ex-Mt 8-by-10-inch black-and-white photographs, one boasting a Bauer autograph. The metal spikes show good game use and have “Bauer” written in black marker on the sole. The black spikes have the original shoelaces intact and remain in outstanding condition. The Bauer autograph shows up on an Official New York Yankees Photograph depicting Bauer’s three-homer Game Three of the 1958 World Series against the Milwaukee Braves. The autographed photo features official New York Yankees team stamping on the reverse along with Bob Olen Studios; the unautographed 8-by-10 images features Bauer, Mickey Mantle and Billy Martin at a Yankees press conference. Bauer was a three-time All-Star who wound up with seven World Series rings in a 14-year career primarily with the Yankees, batting .277 lifetime and adding 164 home runs and 703 RBI.
