Here are four incredible family photos from – many would say – the greatest hitter who ever lived, Ted Williams. The four 7 ¼-by-5-inch black-and-white photos show Ted and his son, John Henry, sport fishing, highlighted by a spectacular image of father and son proudly displaying a rather impressive catch. For veterans of the collectible business, the images of a young John Henry bear a particular poignancy, as the curly-haired youngster would decades later become a key figure in marketing his father’s image and autograph for wildly expanding hobby. The four photos are uniformly Near-Mint; a uniform pencil scrawl on the back is confined to a single figure and has no impact on the presentation.
