This is a fascinating artifact from almost six decades ago, a St. Louis Cardinals pristine batboy jersey in simply superb condition. The cream-colored knit has the iconic Cardinals bat-and-birds logo elegantly embroidered across the front, with the stitching in remarkable shape, with no fraying of any of the delicate threads. A pristine Rawlings Size 38 tag appears at the front tail, with team-stitched “Bat Boy 61” embroidered in red below. The massive “BB” appears on the back of the shirt in red felt and black twill. This is an all-original and as-issued masterpiece from near the end of Stan Musial’s celebrated reign in St. Louis.
