This is an enormous grouping of complete or nearly complete sets of Topps hockey issues from 1976-85, a grouping of about 2,600 cards that are largely as issued all those years ago, in most cases essentially Near-Mint to Mint or better. It’s an opportunity to put together an incredibly comprehensive run of sets, missing only 1979, 1982 and 1983, with a big group of duplicates from 1984, including many HOFers. Here’s the breakdown, with condition largely as noted, with any differences noted: 1976 Topps (264); 1977 Topps (264); 1978 Topps (2 sets, 264 ct. each); 1980 Topps (2 sets, 264 ct. each); 1981 Topps (2 sets, East and West, 132 ct. each); 1984 Topps (2 sets, 165 ct.) – one set is a partial and the group includes almost 100 extras, including multiples for No. 1 Bourque (3), Sittler (5), No. 51 Gretzky (6), Bossy (9) and No. 154 Gretzky (6); and 1985 Topps (165) – missing the Lemieux Rookie.
