In a memorabilia artifact largely championed by Steiner Sports, the Story Photo presented here depicts the iconic moment recording the final out of the 1986 World Series when reliever Jesse Orosco celebrates the return of the fabled New York Mets franchise to the top of the baseball kingdom. In a widely recognized image, Orosco throws his glove into the air and notes in his lengthy account emblazoned in silver Sharpie above his signature that “only he knows about the glove’s final destination.” The stunning 16-by-20-inch photograph is matted in clear Plexiglass and framed to 24 1/2-by-28 1/2-inch dimensions, highlighted by an elegant 2 ½-inch textured-metal border frame. Along with the detailed account of the moment, the inscription from Orosco includes his uniform No. 47 and “Last Out, 1986 World Champs.” The piece is essentially as issued, in simply superb condition, and comes with Steiner and MLB holograms and Steiner Certificate of Authenticity.
