Offered is an outstanding example of the unique Chicago White Sox sartorial splendor in the 1970s, the heavy knit shirts with the oversized collars so redolent of the times. The dark-blue knit shirt has a Capital Ace Size 40 label at the collar and “Chicago” in Olde English silver and white tackle twill across the front, the same stylings used for his No. 1 and name, which is affixed directly to the shirt across the shoulders on the back. The shirt is in simply remarkable condition, a fitting tribute to an important artifact from a key MLB coach and executive and a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame from his storied tenure at Arizona State University.
