This is an attractive game-worn jersey from Jim Rooker in his 1969 Kansas City Royals rookie season, a home gamer with the appropriate Wilson Size 40 tagging on the front tail (slight fraying of the stitching), with Team tag of “69-Set 3” embroidered below. All original and otherwise superb jersey has tearing and some fabric loss on the front and back left tail; in addition, the MLB Centennial Patch is missing from the left sleeve. Rooker was a capable journeyman hurler for three different major league teams in his 13-year career from 1968-80. The 1969 campaign was his rookie season as he compiled a 4-16 record with 3.75 ERA. His lifetime lot was 103-109 with a 3.46 ERA.
