Paul Endacott was named to the College and Pro Basketball Hall of Fame after leading the Kansas Jayhawks to National Championships in 1922 and 1923. Endacott’s accomplishments on KU’s basketball courts are surpassed only by his outstanding work in the petroleum industry and his many contributions to the university of Kansas. Sammy Lee was the first Asian American man to win an Olympic gold medal for the US in 1948 as a Diver, and the second Asian American to win a gold medal overall and also coached Greg Louganis. Yang Chuan-kwang won an Olympic Silver medal in 1960 in Track and Field! Yang Chuan-kwang passed away in 2007, known as the "Iron Man of Asia". Yang won the Gold Medal in the decathlon event at the 1954 and 1958 Asian Games. The photos were taken in Las Vegas in 1969 .
