The great 1957 Topps Baseball set – the first issue in the now-standard 2 ½-by-3 ½-inch size – is offered here in an attractive Very Good to Ex-Mt condition, with about a dozen cards below the range and the emphasis clearly to Excellent. The set presents nicely, offering a rare opportunity to find one of the most popular sets in the hobby in highly collectible and presentable condition. The Hall of Famers and stars nicely dovetail with the prevailing grades of the overall set, leaving a nice presentation; in an issue notorious for centering concerns, perhaps ½ of the issue has the kind of centering that might prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate an off-center designation. Overall, the set comes out to 21 percent Ex-Mt, 55 percent Excellent and 21 percent Very Good, with barely a dozen cards below to Good.
