Presented is one of the biggest and heaviest auction lots we've ever offered, a massive array of Topps Baseball sets over a 20-year span from 1981 to the turn of the century, sets that are largely as-issued and often are untouched factory sets, with a single Donruss set tossed in just to make sure everyone is paying attention. The lot represents a remarkable chronicle of MLB through that giddy span, yielding an amazing lot that’s going to challenge the postman. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1981 Topps Set (726); 2) 1982 Topps (792); 3) 1983 Topps (792); 4) 1984 Topps (792); 5) 1985 Topps (792 – two sets); 6) 1987 Topps Factory set in original cellophane (792); 7) 1987 Donruss (660); 8) 1988 Topps Factory set in original cellophane (792); 9) 1989 Topps (792); 10) 1990 Topps (792); 11) 1991 Topps Factory set in original cellophane; 12) 1992 Topps (792); 13) 1993 Topps (825); 14) 1993 Topps Series I Unopened Wax Box in original cellophane (36); 15) 1994 Topps Factory set in original cellophane (792); 16) 1999 Topps (475); 17) 2000 Topps (475); and 18) Miscellaneous (approx. 200 cards), including 1982 Topps Ripken Rookie (2), 1985 Topps McGwire Rookie, a 1980 Kellogg’s set (60), plus a variety of HOFers on modern relic cards, etc. As we hinted, with something akin to 13,225 cards, this one is going to be challenging for shipping purposes.
