From the granddaddy of all baseball card issues comes this T206 White Border Rube Waddell Portrait card, one of many important cards from the legendary set, found here in a PSA 3 holder, a condition markedly better than these classic cards are typically encountered in mature collections. The card provides a striking presentation with the vivid blue background that so effectively sets off the Waddell Portrait image. One of two Waddell variations in the fabled issue, this example has perhaps 60/40 centering right to left and slightly rounded corners; the Piedmont 150 Back is similarly attractive, with nice blue printing and only the barest whisper of staining and toning.
