Here is an imposing Bobby Wallace card from a truly elegant turn-of-century tobacco issue, the alarming condition-sensitive T205 Gold Borders with gold-leaf, full-bleed card fronts that so readily reveal even the slightest nicks to the gold accents. Adding to the uniqueness of the issue, the set boasts three different designs, customized for the American and National Leagues and a third, even more ornate and intricate, for the one dozen minor leaguers. The Wallace With Cap card of the legendary Hall of Fame infielder Wallace, whose career spanned the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 21st, is one three variations in the issue, found here in a PSA 1 (mk) holder, jostled by significant paper loss across the front middle of the image and strong green background color. The card reveals some of the anticipated chipping to the corners on the front, with good centering and a solid card back, with some staining on the Hassan Cigarettes back that is off center to the bottom and the right, with a small extraneous pencil mark in the upper-left corner.
