Here is a well-worn Fred Clarke card from a truly elegant turn-of-century tobacco issue, the alarming condition-sensitive T205 Gold Borders with gold-leaf, full-bleed card fronts that so readily reveal even the slightest nicks to the gold accents. Adding to the uniqueness of the issue, the set boasts three different designs, customized for the American and National Leagues and a third, even more ornate and intricate, for the one dozen minor leaguers. This card of the legendary Hall of Famer Fred Clarke is one of the coveted cards in the issue, found here in a PSA Authentic holder, with dramatic paper loss to the front of the card constituting perhaps 1/3 of the surface area; the card reveals just a bit of the anticipated chipping to the corners on the front, with centering perhaps 85/15 right to left and with significant staining on the Piedmont back that is off center to the bottom and to the right.
