Here is an important Hugh Duffy card from a truly elegant turn-of-century tobacco issue, the alarming condition-sensitive T205 Gold Borders with gold-leaf, full-bleed card fronts that so readily reveal even the slightest nicks to the gold accents. Adding to the uniqueness of the issue, the set boasts three different designs, customized for the American and National Leagues and a third, even more ornate and intricate, for the one dozen minor leaguers. This card of the legendary 19th Century Hall of Famer Hugh Duffy is one of the coveted cards in the issue, found here in a PSA 1 holder, with some of the anticipated chipping to the rounded corners on the front, with centering perhaps 65/35 left to right and with very light staining and toning on the Sweet Caporal back that is off center to the left.
