Here is an important John McGraw card from a truly elegant turn-of-century tobacco issue, the alarmingly condition-sensitive T205 Gold Borders with gold-leaf, full-bleed card fronts that so readily reveal even the slightest nicks to the gold accents. Adding to the uniqueness of the issue, the set boasts three different designs, customized for the American and National Leagues and a third, even more ornate and intricate, for the dozen minor leaguers. This card of the legendary Hall of Famer skipper is one of the coveted cards in the issue, found here in a PSA 2 holder, with some of the anticipated chipping to the corners on the front, with good centering and with significant staining and toning on the Piedmont back.
