Offered is a Miller Huggins card from a truly elegant turn-of-century tobacco issue, the alarming condition-sensitive T205 Gold Borders with gold-leaf, full-bleed card fronts that so readily reveal even the slightest nicks to the gold accents. Adding to the uniqueness of the issue, the set boasts three different designs, customized for the American and National Leagues and a third, even more ornate and intricate, for the one dozen minor leaguers. Presented is an important card of the legendary Hall of Fame manager Huggins, pictured here as the second baseman for the Cardinals in a PSA 1.5 (mk) holder. The card reveals some very significant chipping to the gold borders and rounded corners, and a Sweet Caporal Cigarettes card back with dramatic staining that covers much of the surface, along with some paper loss.
