Here’s a solid example of a key card from the elegant 1912 T207 Brown Border issue, a unique design of a kind of somber-brown motif that followed several years of colorful tobacco sets that rank among the most important in hobby history. The offered card is in a PSA 1.5 holder, a condition fairly typical of how these classic cards are usually encountered in mature collections. The card has a just a whisper of the ubiquitous “crackling” that often confronts this high-gloss issue, along with some paper loss on the front; the Recruit Little Cigars back is presentable with some light staining, creating a decent presentation of the biography and statistics of the great Hall of Famer.
