Presented is an outstanding example of one of the more unusual tobacco era offerings, the 1914 B18 Blankets that featured major leaguers portrayed in colorful 5 ½-inch square flannels that were wrapped around a variety of tobacco products from the period. The offered flannel is the Blue Infield variation featuring the Hall of Fame skipper during his playing days as an outfielder for the Giants. The flannel presents in Near-Mint fashion, which is uncommonly pristine for the delicate fabric inserts, with some printing foibles that only marginally detract from the presentation.
