Offered is an important Eddie Collins card from one of the difficult early tobacco issues, the 1914 T213 Coupon Cigarettes Type 2 offering that mimics the images of T206 cards but is markedly rarer. The fact that the cards were produced and distributed almost exclusively in Louisiana only adds to their cachet. With three Collins variations included in the set, this example of Chicago No A on Shirt is one of the more compelling cards in the set, with the vivid burgundy background making for a striking presentation, with an example here that is found in a PSA 1 holder. The card centering is roughly 80/20 right to left and biased enough top to bottom to cut off the player name and team; the card back has some minimal paper loss, toning and light staining.
