Presented is an important Home Run Baker card from one of the truly difficult early tobacco issues, the 1914 T213 Coupon Cigarettes Type 2 offering that looks for all the world like T206 cards but is markedly rarer. The fact that the cards were produced and distributed almost exclusively in Louisiana only adds to their cachet. With an impressive lineup of Hall of Famers, the issue features three different Home Run Baker cards, with this Philadelphia Amer. example found in an SGC Authentic (Altered) holder, with the pastel blue and green background colors and the “Baker, Phila. Amer.” typeface in blue that is distinct and differentiates it from its T206 counterparts. The card front has staining and creasing, plus a very erratic cut on the right side; the card has been affixed to a piece of cardboard that is very erratically cut on three sides.
