The quirky 1961 Nu-Card Scoops issue is offered here in highly collectible condition, including a boffo Nr-Mt example of the wrapper and the No. 474 Podres World Series card entombed in a PSA 7 holder. The set, one of the rare non-Topps offerings available in the early 1960’s, depicts newspaper-style front pages of great individual feats and was printed in black and red ink. The 80-card set is numbered from 401-480, which maybe hints at the quirky designation. This specimen is essentially in Very Good to Excellent condition, with some above and below the overall range (perhaps a dozen or so Ex-Mt and a couple Nr-Mt) and the keys noted below. Keys: No. 422 Mantle Longest Home Run – Very Good, 427 Mays Catch – Good, 438 DiMaggio 56 Games – VG-Ex, 447 Ruth’s 60th Home Run – Excellent, 452 Williams All-Star – Very Good, 455 Ruth Three World Series Home Runs – Excellent, 462 Aaron Beats Yanks – Ex-Mt, and 467 DiMaggio Comes Thru – Poor (marked).
