This November 26, 1923 typed letter is written by American League president Ban Johnson to Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert. The letter reads, "Dear Sir: Tihis is to advice the Boston American League Club has withdrawn its request for waivers on Howard Shanks, claimed by New York. I am - Yours Truly, Ban Johnson." The black fountain pen signature is authenticated by JSA with a full letter and has also been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
