This group of three New York Mets game-used bats are from Kevin Mitchell, Hubie Brooks and Wally Bachman, all from the 1986 World Champs team. Each bat is signed on the barrel and personalized "To Doc", or Dwight Gooden, who was the ace on that team after winning the Cy Young in 1985. The Mitchell bat is a Rawlings 34" model 194A from 1990. The bat shows light use in the form of bat rack marks with "34 Mitchell" written in very small ink letters on the knob. The Brooks bat measure 34.5 inches and 32 oz. also showing light use in the form of bat rack marks and Brooks' uniform number "21" written in black marker on the handle and end of barrel. The Backman bat is a Rawlings and measures 33.75 inches from the 1991 season. It shows light use also in the form of scuffing and bat rat marks, along with his jersey number "6" written in silver Sharpie on the knob and end of barrel. All the signatures are pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
