In 1952 the Meyercord Company of Chicago decided to try their hands in the sports business and debuted a remarkable collection of high quality, marvelously colored stickers depicting many of the finest players of the day. Had Topps not single-handedly upended the market with their amazing full-scale set, Star-Cals might have been a hit. But with market competition and the accepted format of cards over stickers, the decals lost the battle. Among the most sought after stickers in the Star-Cal set is Stan The Man Musial (93-A). This EX condition Musial, still in its original envelope exhibits color as explosive as the Cardinal great’s bat.
