Here’s a Baker’s dozen assortment of nicely signed notes and letters from a number of important players from the postwar era, often providing fascinating baseball content like responding to fan’s queries about the toughest pitcher/hitter they ever faced, etc. Here’s the breakdown: Dick Bartell, Joe Nuxhall, Luke Appling, Cecil Travis, Johnny Vander Meer, Harland Clift, Hal Newhouser, Ferris Fain, Lew Fonseca, and four signatures from Billy Werber, on three lengthy letters and two short notes, all on his personal stationery. Signatures are pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
