This typed signed letter is on White House stationary and signed by Nancy Reagan. It's dated December 2, 1987 and reads in part, "While visiting drug treatment centers, I've been genuinely stunned by the magnitude of this terrible problem. But I also know there's hope, for it's been heartening to hear many of these teenagers say that they long to be a part of the family again." The content relates to the First Lady's War on Drugs and is signed in blue felt tip pen, with the signature pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
