Mid-1970s Riddell Sample Houston Oilers Helmet

This is an outstanding mid-1970s Houston Oilers helmet, with white Riddell shell TK-2 style with 12-point suspension with crown donut. Sized to 7 ½ from stamping on the webbing, along with notation of 4(XL) on lower neck suspension. No player identification indicated and never drilled for a mask, but comes with a well-worn Red Dot Cage Mask from the same period. Stamping on the helmet is correct; the decals are becoming disengaged and post-date the helmet shell. Shell jaw pads are intact. Thought to be a likely salesman sample.
