Here then is another important volume from the earliest days of Major League Baseball, Cap Anson’s iconic A Ball Players Career, detailing the career of perhaps the most influential player/manger/owner in the last half of the 19th century. The offered book with a 1900 copyright date has black-and-white plates and 364 pages, with the hardcover edition likely assessed as Fair, with a crack and staining on the front and a small tear to the spine. Most of the inside pages would be described as Ex-Mt, until the last dozen or so pages a bit lower, perhaps Excellent.
