This first edition E.P. Dutton & Co. presentation copy of "The Babe Ruth Story" is signed by Ruth on the title page. The inscription reads, "To My Pal Walter Grego From Babe Ruth" in black steel tip fountain pen and the signature has been authenticated by BAS with a full LOA and graded a perfect "10" in strength. The book has a clear mylar dust jacket, with a couple of folds on the first page and a one-inch tear on the dedication page, but is in otherwise fine condition. Housed in a custom red and gray half morocco clamshell box, with the book's title, "Presentation Copy", "As Told to Bob Considine" and "1948" on the bind. Tough Gem Mint signature in a rare presentation copy and published the year Ruth passed.
