This “A Century of Baseball 1839-1939” First Day Cover features a gorgeous signature from Babe Ruth. The blue fountain pen signature runs up the left side of this cover addressed to “Wm. R. Frantz Jr,” in “Port Carbon, Penna.” The cover is postmarked “June 12, 1939 in Cooperstown, NY” and has a cancelled 3-cent stamp affixed in the upper right corner. The Ruth signature is authenticated and slabbed by BAS, who graded the autograph a “9.”
