Presented is an imposing group of vintage Topps baseball cards from 1959 and 1966, large assortments with a bit of duplication but both comprising solid starter sets for an aspiring collector or to add to existing accumulations. The larger of the two groups – 1966 Topps – includes 343 cards that are broadly Excellent to Near-Mint and feature a number of stars, Team cards, Combinations, Checklists, Rookie and other specials. It breaks down to roughly 12 percent Near-Mint, 66 percent Ex-Mt, 16 percent Excellent and 6 percent below. A partial listing of stars and minor stars includes Fregosi, Siebern, Sanford, Swoboda, Groat, Blair, Billy Herman (Near-Mint), Pearson, Pappas, Staub, Mota, Parker, Held, McCraw, Malzone, Carty, Powell, Menke, Hall, Bauer (2), Callison, White Rookie (2) and Jesus Alou (2). There are a total of 159 cards in the 1959 Topps Baseball array, which is largely Very Good to Ex-Mt and feature a number of stars, Rookies and specials. It breaks down to roughly 9 percent Ex-Mt, 47 percent Excellent, 35 percent VG-Ex and 9 percent Very Good. A partial listing of stars and minor stars includes Al Smith, Callison Rookie (2), Brosnan (2), O’Dell, Wagner, Jay, Sanford, Mossi, Cardwell, Avila, Pappas (3), Lopez and Sauer.
