If you are unsure of what a major star Rocky Colavito was in Major League Baseball circa 1960 or so, just ask any Baby Boomer baseball fan worth his salt. Suffice it to say that outside the environs of Metro New York, Colavito was as big a star as any in the game in those days. Here then is the perfect six-pack for a serious Rocco fan: a handsome signed baseball and five cards from the great slugger, including his coveted 1957 Topps rookie card. The baseball is a Budig American League ball in really nice condition, jostled only by a small bit of discoloration behind Rocky’s elegant ballpoint pen signature on the sweet spot (JSA basic COA). It makes a great companion piece to a 1957 Topps Colavito rookie card, a nicely centered pasteboard that is elegantly encased in an SGC 50 holder. One other card is third-party graded: a 1962 Topps Thrills Colavito Power No. 315 anointed a PSA 6. A 1959 Topps Thrills No. 462 and his regular-issue card from 1960 Topps, No. 400, are Very Good; the final card is a 1966 Topps No. 150 deemed to be Ex-Mt.
