Presented here is an impressive, eclectic lot with two complete sets and a third near-set of an important early Topps mainstream issue and a pair of popular peripheral issues from the 1960’s, plus a pristine Near-Mint R423 Baseball complete strip featuring a dozen Hall of Famers. We’ll start with the 1951 Topps Red Back complete set, offered here in an outstanding mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint overall condition, with the emphasis to Ex-Mt and a truly impressive, consistent presentation. Some of the keys and condition exceptions are noted: No. 1 Berra – VG-Ex, 5 Rizzuto – Nr-Mt, 8 Wynn – Nr-Mt, 13 – Good, 15 Kiner – Fair, 22 Feller – Fair, 23 Good, 24 Fair, 26 Good, 30 Spahn – VG, 35 – Fair, 38 Snider – Good, 50 Irvin – Fair and 52 Holmes (both versions, VG and Good). The 1960 Baseball Hi-Lites near set includes 67 of the 72 cards in the set, a nice Excellent to Ex-Mt array of the quirky 3 ¼-by-5 3/8-inch cards.
