This is a corrected version of earlier entries; we apologize for any inconvenience. Offered here is an accumulation of the famous 1963 Post Cereal Baseball cards from the 1960’s, cards that were printed as part of the back of cereal boxes and severely challenged the precision scissoring skills of a generation of American youth. In this instance, the cutting effort was fairly typical of the times, which is to say a bit erratic. Eight of the cards in this near-set are actually from the nearly identical Jello issue of the same year: No. 49 Rollins, No. 83 Wilson, No. 84 Monbouquette, No. 114 Gilliam, No. 144 Burgess, No. 150 McMillan, No. 160 Boyer and No. 173 Rodgers. The cards – a partial set missing 46 numbers – are in generally Good to Excellent condition, with some above and even below, with many of the cards designated as “Poor” being affixed with that designation because of the aforementioned erratic scissoring effort. The emphasis of the partial set is probably to Good condition, and a listing below denotes many of the key cards and condition exceptions. The 1963 Post Cereal and Jello sets are nearly identical, with the former in the standard 2 1/2-by-3 1/2-inch format and the Jello cards slightly smaller at 3 3/8 inches across. A listing of the missing cards appears at the end.
