As the “Baby Boomer” generation heads toward retirement, Koufax rookies in high grades are disappearing rapidly from the market. These collectors want cards of the heroes of their youth and Koufax applies. Arguably the greatest pitcher of his era, before injury and illness ended his career, Koufax dominated in a fashion that baseball had not seen since the days of Johnson and Mathewson. This is his only true rookie card from 1955, number 123 in the set and arrives in a PSA 5 holder.
