This is a really nice partial set of the classic 1958 Topps Baseball issue, loaded with Hall of Famers, All-Stars and Specials and boasting a handsome, unusually consistent presentation, with blazing bright colors and good gloss. Representing almost 80 percent of a complete set, this lot presents a great opportunity to pick up the lion’s share of a highly coveted early Topps issue, with a dozen important Hall of Famers and a matching number of cards from the high-series All-Star Subset. The cards are generally Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some above and a few below and the emphasis to the upper end of the scale. About half of the array has the kind of centering that might prompt an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to necessarily dictate and off-center designation.
