Presented here is a genuine opportunity to pick up the lion’s share (63 percent) of this important vintage Topps issue, offered in a really handsome mostly Ex-Mt condition, with perhaps two dozen reaching Near-Mint status and some below, with cards boasting wonderful color and gloss and a remarkably consistent presentation. There are a half dozen Hall of Famers, many stars and specials, along with almost three dozen of the difficult high numbers, which are in even a bit better condition than the overall grade. The roster includes 29 Rookie Stars subset, 12 Managers cards, 13 Coaches cards and eight Team cards. About 160 cards have the kind of centering that might typically prompt an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation. The overall condition comes out to roughly 6 percent Near-Mint, 75 percent Ex-Mt, 15 percent Excellent and about 5 percent below.
