This lot offers 11 16x20 prints featuring Jake LaMotta with artwork by Murray Tinkelman. LaMotta signed each print in blue felt tip pen, with Tinkelman also signing the print in pencil and sequentally numbering them to 250, with this lot including 176, 177, 207, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217 and 218. Only 250 of these prints were produced, with another 25 Artist's Proofs also issued. Tinkelman is an award-winning artist who has won gold medals from the Society of Illustrators, The New York Art Directors Club and the Society of Publications Designers. His illustrations have appeared in a variety of publications such as Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. He has had a one-man exhibit of his baseball art at The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in 1994.
