While the baseball issues of the period command the spotlight, the very same tobacco companies also produced a wide range of truly striking non-sport offerings, typically with elegant, colorful paintings that depicted everything – and everyone – from actors, Indians, birds, animals and, in this case, cowboys. The 2 1/2-by-3 ¼-inch beauties housed in nine-pocket sheets and a binder are found here in the kind of wide condition range that is fairly typical when these are located in older collections, with about ½ of the group approaching Excellent, slightly more than a dozen Very Good and just over a half dozen reaching Good or Fair.
