Here are two outstanding examples from 1970 and 1971 Topps football, complete sets that are blazing basically Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, with a handful below to Ex-Mt. The sets, representing the first two years of the American Football Conference finding itself under the umbrella of the National Football League, are complete at 263 cards each, and boast strong colors and a wonderful, consistent presentation. From 1971, with the full-bleed borders for the two conferences (Red-AFC and Blue-NFC), the susceptibility to show wear is particularly problematic, and this is a superb array of cards, including two of the keys found in third-party slabs: No. 45 Csonka – PSA 8.5 and the key Rookie card No. 156 Bradshaw – PSA 5.
