Here is a spectacular game-worn warmup jacket from the San Antonio Spurs that seemingly traces its roots to the closing years of the team in the American Basketball Association and its first year as a member of the NBA in 1976. The back collar has the Speedline Size L manufacturer’s label, with adjacent Wright flag tag. A team flag tag below the manufacturer’s label has “4” handwritten in black marker. The black jacket is in superb condition, with Spurs logo patch at the left breast and NBA famed red, white and blue embroidered logo patch below. Jacket has silver and white accents along with white striping on the collar and with ribbed grey highlights on each hip. San Antonio is across the back shoulders in white tackle twill affixed directly to the shirt, with the larger (than on the front) Spurs logo, with minimal fraying of the delicate white stitching on both. As noted, the jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any description.
