An argument can be made that 1951 Connie Mack's are Topps most condition sensitive issue. The cards are die cut and made to stand alone. They also are notorious for hidden wrinkles and creases. It's not surprising that Connie Mack selected Mathewson to his All-Star Team as Mathewson was one of the most consistent winning pitchers in baseball history. This one presents nicely although it received only an Authentic grade from PSA.
