For Cubbies fans this has to be a show stopper: two original airbrushed paintings by Ray Smith that were ultimately used as covers for Cubs souvenir game programs in 1983. A 20-by-20-inch rendering on heavy illustration board that depicts Hall of Famers Ernie Banks and Gabby Hartnett comes with a photocopy of the actual souvenir program it adorned, entitled “Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame.” The second painting, 15-by-15 inches and also on heavy illustration board, depicts Cubs mascots. Since both pieces are original pieces, there are a couple of spots where layered airbrushing can reveal a bit of paint loss or scuffing, but nothing that materially detracts from the overall presentation.
