This hefty lot provides an opportunity to pick up a complete run of Fleer and Donruss baseball issues for the first seven years after the end of the Topps monopoly. These are the sets that a generation of hobbyists marveled at, baseball cards produced by someone other than the behemoth Topps for the first time in a quarter century. This array is largely as issued almost four decades ago, cards that are Near-Mint or Near-Mint to Mint or better, with the vast majority factory sets, many of which have never seen the light of day. All but a couple of the early Fleer sets are the Factory variety, as are all seven of the Donruss, three of which – 1983, 1985 and 1987 – have the cards still in the original cellophane bricks that were a staple of these classic Donruss offerings. It comes out to a total of 9,197 baseball cards that remain a big part of hobby history to this day.
