Drafted in the 1st Round of the 1972 Draft by the New York Yankees, right-handed pitcher Rick Anderson made his Big League debut in pinstripes in September, 1979, pitching in one game before being traded to the Seattle Mariners during the offseason. There he would pitch in only five games before arm trouble relegated him to the minors and finally out of baseball. Notoriously reclusive after his retirement, he would succumb to weight related health issues in 1989, at only 35 years of age. One of the rarest autographs of the 1970s and 80s, Rick Anderson is often confused with another Rick Anderson who would play with the Mets and Twins several years later. Offered is an exceptionally rare autographed photo-postcard of Rick Anderson while a member of the Seattle Mariners. Signed in blue ink, it is graded Authentic by PSA/DNA.
