Presented is a spectacular gold watch awarded to Del Crandall in by Look Magazine, citing his standout 1954 campaign for the Milwaukee Braves; the lot also features a 1948 official document from the American Baseball Bureau handwritten by the 11-time All-Star. The gold watch has a gold and stainless steel wristband by Speidel, and a baseball diamond-themed face. It’s in outstanding condition engraving on the back of the face with Crandall’s name, the year 1954 and “Look” and noting Crandall’s selection to the All National League squad. The 8 ½-by-14-inch document has official stamping noting the date of March 13, 1948, and features answers to the various personal questions done in Crandall’s hand. Crandall was a lifetime .254 hitter with 179 home runs and 657 RBI in a 16-year career, 13 of those years as one of the key members of the fabled Milwaukee Braves clubs that won two National Pennants and the World Series in 1957.
