Presented is a handsome game-worn home jersey from the mid-1980s New York Knicks, attributed to backup center/forward Bob Thornton. The Size 46 shirt has Sand-Knit labeling at the tail with 3” swatch tagging adjacent, with Cosby label at the collar. All identifiers are sewn in correct font for the mid-1980s Knicks jerseys, with orange-on-blue tackle twill on his No. 23 front and back and blue tackle twill for his name sewn directly to the back shoulders. The jersey reveals season-long wear with probable use in the 1986-87 preseason. The 6-10 Thornton played in 283 NBA contests in an eight-year career, averaging 3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
