August 6, 2020: Summer Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 8/6/2020
Offered is a simply outstanding example of Topps’ penultimate baseball card issue in its 25-year monopoly, a blazing Near-Mint to Mint or better monster that essentially looks precisely as it must have 41 years ago when it rolled off the presses. Clearly put together from vending, the coveted “vending bend” heralds this offering as boasting uncirculated cards, with vivid color and gloss and no discernible difference between the Tier One Hall of Famers and the lowliest of commons. As is frequently found with vending, the centering can waver a bit, with perhaps 15 percent or so having the kind of centering that might prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation.
