Here is a nifty pair of Chicago Cubs warm-up jerseys from the early to mid-1980s, Cubbie blue mesh shirts that numbering suggest could be attributed to several different players from the period. The blue-mesh shirts have blue-and-white elastic at the collar and sleeves and large white tackle twill numbers on the back, along with the iconic Cubs circular red-and-blue logo on the front. The No. 16 shirt allows for possible attribution to Steve Ontiveros, Bill Hayes or Stave Lake; the No. 25 shirt suggests possible attribution to Scot Thompson, Bobby Bonds or Gary Woods. Shirts reveal usage, with some light fraying of the delicate white stitching on the numerals on the back.
